ReAct Prompt Converter

Turn a plain prompt into a ReAct reasoning loop — and see what the loop will actually cost before you run it.

Get started
  • Structured Thought/Action/Observation reasoning outperforms plain prompting on multi-step, tool-using tasks.
  • Grounds every step in a real tool result instead of a hallucinated one — the model is instructed to never write its own Observation.
  • Tells you what the loop will cost — typical case AND worst case — before you run it, plus a suitability verdict so you don't reach for ReAct when a single call would do.

Frequently asked questions

ReAct (Reason + Act) is a prompting technique where a model alternates between Thought (reasoning about what to do next), Action (calling a tool), and Observation (the tool's real result) until it has enough information to answer. It reduces hallucination by grounding each step in an actual tool output, and makes the reasoning auditable.

When a single tool call followed by formatting the answer is enough — that's a direct call, not a loop. And when the exact sequence of tool calls never changes regardless of input — that's a deterministic pipeline, which is cheaper, faster, and easier to test. This tool tells you which of the three situations you're actually in before generating anything.

A ReAct loop re-sends the entire accumulated trajectory (every prior Thought/Action/Observation) on every single step, so cost grows roughly with the square of the step count — a 6-step task costs far more than 6× a single call. An agent that silently runs many more steps than expected is the single most common cause of a surprise bill.

This tool is powered by Claude (Anthropic). Every dollar and token figure it shows is computed separately in plain arithmetic against Costiva's verified pricing table, never written by the model itself.
